Caregiver Responsibilities

Depending on the needs of the client, caregiver responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with activities of daily living
• Bathing and personal-care assistance
• Dressing and grooming
• Mobility and walking assistance
• Medication reminders
• Meal preparation
• Companionship
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry and bed making
• Taking out trash and maintaining clean living areas
• Errands and grocery shopping
• Transportation or assistance with medical appointments
• Providing respectful and dependable support in the client’s home

What We Look For

We are looking for applicants who demonstrate compassion, professionalism, dependability, patience, and respect for the individuals we serve.

Depending on the position and client assignment, applicants may be required to have:

• Valid government-issued identification
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance when transportation is part of the assignment
• Ability to pass applicable background and employment screenings
• CPR/First Aid certification when required
• Previous caregiving or healthcare experience for certain assignments
• CNA, CMA, or other healthcare credentials when required for a particular position
• Reliable attendance and professional communication
• Ability to safely perform the essential responsibilities of the position, with reasonable accommodation when applicable
